Milky road

Milky road

The material used is a tripod, a canon 5D and a 16mm lens. The exposure is 30seconds.

It’s a single shot, which came that way straight from the sensor. No manipulations of any kind have been applied.

The weather conditions were really special that evening. In the sky, it’s not clouds, but fog slowly fading away. Fog is also present on many random places on the picture. The orange glows in the front are the public lights from the next village. The foreground (snow) is highlighted because I had the moon glowing from the right. The stars are a bit blury because of the long exposure, you can even see a small dotted line in the middle left, which is a plane passing by.

You can see the right part of the landscape here (it’s in black and white).

If you have more questions, just ask. Thanks for your stay!

This is a really stunning photograph. My guess, two images made to one?

Bravo !

@Frank: it’s a single picture. Came that way straight from the sensor.
